We first became aware of Ratcliff Mathews Real Estate through a letter-box drop in September 2009. We were curious to know the value of the house as we were thinking of downsizing and moving out one day, so we rang the number and were told an agent would drop by. My husband remembers this differently he says an agent knocked on the door and asked if we wanted the number. He left a card and we rang the number on the card and thus we met Tony Cimino.

The next day we met Tony Cimino. He was quick to assess that we were not ready to sell just yet but that we might be later. He gave us an idea of the property’s value and also some hints on what we could do to make it look more attractive. His manner was professional and down to earth and we felt we could trust him with the sale of our home should the time arise.

As a consequence we looked no further than RMRE when we decided in July this year to sell. We have not been disappointed.
• We were given a realistic assessment of the property’s value.
• We had buyers inspecting the house before it was listed on the internet or in the Manly Daily.
• Contracts were exchanged 2 weeks after it was valued by Ratcliff Mathews and the house was sold a week later.
• We sold the house for more than the advertised price.

After missing out on another property in a not so nice way, we saw an interesting looking house on Realestate.com.  We had looked at it before but it was a bit too expensive for us. The photos showed an older style spacious house with a nice level yard, exactly what we were after. A short phone call later our appointment for an inspection had been arranged. When we parked our car in front of the house, we both were saying: no, this is not it, but then we walked in, this house was not just big, it was massive, and cosy, bright with lots of windows. The minute I set my eyes on the 2nd level, I knew it, this is the place where I want to live with my family. A couple of phone calls and a 2nd inspection later, the house was ours.

Ratcliff Mathews sent a team of nine people to my home on the morning of Tuesday 16th March 2010. The team introduced themselves and were very polite and friendly.
 
Then Chris Aldren informed me he had three purchasers that he would like to come through and look at my home. They arrived Tuesday afternoon, (the same day) completed the inspections, went away. Two of the perspective buyers came back on Wednesday morning by 6pm same day, I was presented with 3 offers one which was acceptable, my home was sold.

Chris & Naomi just sold my mother’s home at 24 Stewart Avenue. They first came in contact with me door knocking because they saw a skip bin out the front of my property. I soon realised that I had known Chris’s family for many years as they use to live in the street. We had been dealing with another agent who had sold a few properties in the area and had planned on using him, until I found out about Ratcliff Mathews. The reason we chose Chris and Naomi was because of their ‘no sale, no charge’ approach. The home was listed for sale on the Wednesday and was sold on Friday, with a price we were extremely happy with!

We first came in contact with Chris Aldren through a property we saw for sale online.

That particular property was not suitable for us and after giving Chris our criteria, he managed to put us on to another home, which we unfortunately missed out on. Chris took it upon himself to find Simone and myself a home.

He had letters hand delivered on our behalf to most of the Collaroy and Narrabeen areas. 

When it came to selling, it was an obvious choice as to who we were going to use. Our home had not even been advertised and Chris and the team had shown quite a few buyers through. Once our sale was completed on the Wednesday, Chris put our place up for sale and between Tony and Chris they started negotiating with buyers that Sunday. By Monday we were sold, well above our asking price!  We were both over the moon with the result.

The cooling off period was a bit stressful, but Chris assured us that all would be ok.

Chris and the team did a fantastic job in helping us to buy and sell our property and we would highly recommend them to anyone (which I already have!).

After having dealt with a number of other agents and being both disappointed and cautious regarding their methods of conducting business– all “in the interest of the seller”- it was an unexpected  and refreshing chance that we found that your company, through Naomi, has understood that creating a professional and transparent relationship with the buyer is possible notwithstanding your obligations towards the seller.

Naomi was clear in explaining to us the exact process that both she  and yourself would take in the running of the offer process and we had confidence  that you would not exploit the process by stepping down to the levels that we have seen elsewhere.

We would like to sincerely thank Chris Aldren and his team at Ratcliff Mathews Real Estate Dee Why for their hard work and their professional service in selling our house, 55 Lynwood Avenue, Dee Why NSW 2099.

When Chris originally contacted us we had no intention to sell our house. Chris respected our position and did not overstep the line with his regular contact and always asked if we would be happy to hear from him again. Chris regularly informed us as to what was happening in the property market and more importantly in our local area.

Having previously advertised our house through a large franchise real estate agent we were already very sceptical due to the fact that we were unsuccessful in selling even with the agents recommendations of a full marketing campaign. After a disappointing experience we were hesitant when Chris contacted us. We did not consider their services as we already had a preconceived mindset that “if a big named real estate agent could not sell it then how can Ratcliff Mathews?”
